Who We Are
Barry Real Estate is a father–daughter commercial real estate company with deep roots in Palo Alto. With a history that spans more than 40 years, Barry Real Estate was founded by Rick Barry and has grown through decades of ownership, development, and hands-on management in the Palo Alto market. Today, the company operates under the combined leadership of Rick and his daughter, Christy continuing the values of professionalism, integrity, and long-term commitment that have guided the company from the beginning.
Rick brings more than 40 years of experience in Bay Area commercial real estate. Christy brings a legal background from her previous career as a licensed attorney and litigator in Minnesota, where she handled transactional matters, landlord–tenant representation, and client representation. Her experience with leases, negotiations, and analytical decision-making adds a thoughtful, detail-driven perspective to the company’s leasing, management, and redevelopment planning.
Together, we offer a balanced approach grounded in experience, clarity, and a genuine commitment to the businesses and professionals we work with.

Rick was born in Palo Alto and raised in Mountain View. Christy was born in Redwood City and raised in Palo Alto. This area isn’t just where we work — it’s home.
